Riverton Area Fire Protection District responded to 94 calls in 2017 - 11.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Riverton Area included 64 fires - 29 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 32 other fires.

In all, the department saw $336,903 in fire loss - or about $5,264 per fire.

The department also received 30 false calls, including one malicious call and 29 other false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.

The Riverton Area Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $257,506 in 2016.
