Springfield Township Board of Trustees met June 13.

The Board of Trustees of Springfield Township met June 13, 2018 at the Township Administration Building at 3298 Terminal Ave, Springfield, IL.

Present: Supervisor Gary Budd, Trustees Don Willett, Mike Morris, Arthur Watts, Shannon Lynch, Clerk Robert Remack, Road Commissioner Ron Smith, Assessor Cinda Sausaman, Collector Janine Stroble.

Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor Gary Budd.

The Treasurer’s report and minutes of the Board Meeting May 08, 2018 were reviewed. A motion was made by Shannon Lynch and seconded by Arthur Watts to accept the treasurer’s report and approve the minutes. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Bills were submitted to the Town Board for authorization to pay. Included in the vote was authorization for payment of bills reviewed but not voted on at last month’s board meeting. A motion was make by Mike Morris and seconded by Arthur Watts that said bills be authorized for payment. All voted aye. Motion carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: $867.00 was collected and deposited in the dumpster fund in June. 113 tires were taken in. $150.00 was collected the first Saturday of the month.

NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made by Mike Morris and seconded by Shannon Lynch to retain Don LoBue as township attorney for 2018-2019. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Shannon Lynch and seconded by Mike Morris to retain Barb Estes as Deputy Clerk for 2018-2019. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Arthur Watts and seconded by Shannon Lynch to adopt the Prevailing Wage Ord#18-19-04. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mike Morris and seconded by Arthur Watts to pre-approve operating expenses. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Chairman Gary Budd reported real estate taxes in the amount of $915,631.06 were collected by the Township.

He reported Springfield Township will host the Sangamon County Township Officials meeting at 6:00 p.m. on June 20, 2018.

A motion to adjourn was made by Mike Morris and seconded by Arthur Watts. All voted aye. Motion carried.
