City of Peru Finance and Safety Services Committee met August 1.

The Finance & Safety Services Committee Members Present: Aldermen Potthoff, Ferrari and Payton present; Alderman Radtke absent; Mayor Harl absent.
Other Persons Present: City Clerk Dave Bartley, ASM/Police Chief Doug Bernabei; PSM/Fire Chief Jeff King; Finance Officer Justin Miller and Economic Development Director Bob Vickrey.

The Committee reviewed and approved the disbursements for payment on August 8, 2018.

New Business
Committee approved $1,000 contribution to Peru Girls Little League Softball for the Junior Little League State Tournament. Committee recommended approval at the next regular meeting.
Committee approved $500 contribution to IV Super Bowl for 21st Annual Illinois Valley Professional Bowlers Tournament (September 1-2, 2018). Committee recommended approval at the next regular meeting.
Committee tabled contribution to North Central Illinois Art Works.
Chief King initiated a discussion regarding the 2018 Command Vehicle bid and reported the 2018 had been discontinued. Chief King recommended rebidding and the committee concurred.
PSM King reported he is prepare for winter road salt bidding with two potential options.
