Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dupage County?

There were 68 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Dupage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that 61 men and seven women were released in Dupage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Mario Gonzalez. He was convicted of homicide in 1996 when he was 19 years old. He is now 42.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Dupage County municipality.
