Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dekalb County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Dekalb County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Dekalb County were men. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Terrance Williams. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013 when he was 23 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Dekalb County municipality.
