Recognition of Visitors: Jack Green, resident of Mechanicsburg was in attendance to ask for reimbursement of property maintenance for the last 50 years. Mr. Green has maintained a village owned road (no longer in use) that is adjoined to his property and states that he has previously asked the village to officially close this road in hopes of purchasing it himself. The previous board took no action therefore Mr. Green continued to maintain the property and is asking for $14,000 in reimbursement fees (gas, labor and lawn mowers).

Mr. Green has also stated that due to the sewer set-up near his home it has caused sewer backups that come out of his clean ups. The Sewer Commission has been informed but has not made any repairs to date. Mayor VanPelt has asked the engineer to take a look to see what can be done to repair this issue.

Austen Etherton was in attendance to inform the board that the drainage for sewer is in need of repair. Several tiles in fields close to the village have deteriorated and have fallen apart as well as mains needing replaced. Austen has suggested replacing 2 mains, one at a cost of $23,105.67 and the other for $5,155.09. Attorney for the village, Pam Hart suggested an easement or a formalized agreement would need to be in place before repairs in the fields can be done. It was suggested by Austen that the county may pay for half of the costs and both him and Phil Weber will be looking into this.

Ashley Mattox was in attendance to observe the monthly meeting.

Engineering Report: Phil Weber- A preliminary cost estimate of all road repairs within the village was presented to the board at a cost of $44,688.

Zoning Report: Dorothy Cole- There has been no permits issued.
