Atlanta home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Atlanta fell by $15,500 while total sales decreased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $72,500 - a 17.6% decrease over the $88,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Atlanta in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,805, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
