AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN POLAND: Squire Patton Boggs Adds to Real Estate Team in Poland

American Chamber of Commerce In Poland issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.

Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Michał Smolny as of counsel in its Real Estate Practice in Poland. He joins from the Warsaw office of Allen & Overy, where he has served as the co-head of the Real Estate Practice since 2015.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw, and member of the Warsaw Bar Association, Michał Smolny has more than 15 years’ professional experience in commercial real estate, real estate finance, engineering and construction, M&A and corporate matters.

His recent work includes advising on sale and lease back transactions concerning distribution centers, the restructuring and sale of several shopping centers, logistics and office portfolio purchase and sale transactions (share deals, transfers of going concern and asset deals), as well as a wide range of due diligence reviews, office, retail and warehouse lease negotiations, hotel lease negotiations, and various acquisition and development projects concerning logistic centers, office buildings, shopping centers and hotels. Michał Smolny advises clients in the retail and hospitality and leisure sectors and in particular, banks and financial institutions, alongside many real estate and insurance investment funds.
