Athens Community Unit School District 213 issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.
AHS Volleyball Team will play in the Class 1A Final Four November 15 and 16 at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University. The semi-final match will be Friday, November 15 at 9:00 am against Newark. If Athens wins, they will play in the championship game on Saturday, November 16 at 10:30 am. The third place game will be Saturday, November 16 at 9:00 am. Tickets are $8 for the Friday game and $8 for the Saturday game. Tickets can be purchased at the door or ordered online. The school will have some tickets available to the public after the Volleyball team and their families and students/staff have a chance to purchase.
