Chatham Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 8.
Don't forget to remove your keys, your valuables, and lock your car doors at night. Our officers patrol the town nightly trying to prevent car burglaries, but we need your help too. Please make doing these things nightly a routine to make yourself a hard target!
