Village of Williamsville Village Board met Nov. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Town Hall/board meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Yokley. Clerk: Karen Winger.

Trustees: Dave Carter, Heather Hofferkamp, Patrick Gettleman, Matt Bunger, Matt Bunger. Absent: Skylar Tierney

GUESTS: Chief Richard Edwards, Linda Hughes.

COMMUNICATIONS: President Yokley thanked the Public Works employees for spending their Veterans Day working on a water main break caused by the boring crew for Cass Comm.

President Yokley stated the Williamsville Community Foundation is thinking about having Christmas in the Village on December 18th. They are discussing having a trolley or horse carriage throughout the Village. There will also be a house decorating contest. He stated there will be a Foundation meeting on November 29th to discuss this event.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting held on October 28, 2019. Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

FINANCE: Trustee Brennan made a motion to pay bills as presented. Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

President Yokley stated that Trustee Tierney would like to have all budgets submitted to him as soon as possible.

PUBLIC SAFETY (John Brennan): Trustee Brennan introduced an ordinance prohibiting cannabis business establishments in the Village. This ordinance will be voted on at the next board meeting.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to pass Ordinance #2019-9 amending Chapter 115 Section 115-7 of the Code of the Village of Williamsville. This amendment was due to a typo regarding the fine amounts. Trustee Gettleman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

WATER & SEWER, (Matt Bunger): Trustee Bunger stated there are some updates needed to the telemetry system.

Trustee Bunger made a motion to approve the $51,805 quote from SCADAware for the system. He also stated an additional $4,200 is needed for the yearly fees. Trustee Carter seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried. (This will be in next year’s budget.)

Trustee Bunger also stated the sewer system/plant needs some maintenance/updates. The estimate for these updates is $1,081,200.00 from Meco Engineering. Trustee Bunger stated these updates will be completed in different stages throughout the course of three years.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (Hofferkamp): Trustee Hofferkamp stated her committee met and has submitted their budget figures for 2020.

Trustee Hofferkamp stated President Yokley and Karen Winger will be calling Speedway on Tuesday to discuss their Municipal Fuel Tax agreement.

Trustee Hofferkamp stated we will need an estimate from Ted Contri before the November 28th board meeting so the board can make decisions about the Community Center project.

PARKS & RECREATION (Dave Carter): Trustee Carter complimented the library/museum staff/volunteers on the event they held for Veteran’s Day. He also complimented them on the library programs they have for all the different age groups.

President Yokley gave an update regarding the overpass.

STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS & STORM SEWERS (Patrick Gettleman): Trustee Gettleman stated he is still waiting on some figures from the engineer that are needed before submitting his budget.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the 2020 holiday schedule. Trustee Bunger seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

President Yokley stated the Village has a 2003 truck that we are needing to sell. He was contacted by Hurlbut Township. They are in desperate need of a vehicle. They would like to purchase this vehicle.

Trustee Gettleman made a motion to sell the 2003 Chevrolet K2500HDS in the amount of $4,000 to Hurlbut Township. Trustee Brennan seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

Randy Segatto is still currently working on the Michael Johnson issue.

The regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Williamsville adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
