Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met March 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on March 11, 2020: Present: Fred Jessup, Carl Kessler, John Megginson, Josh Smith, and Scott Norris. Absent: Matt Kern and Brad Smith. Also present were Darren Root, Amy Donaldson, Nathan Essex, Matt Grimm, Mark Dudley, Dave Bates, Sarah Smith, Heather Karaffa Jennifer Workman, Melissa Miller, Charlie Patterson, Alex Carter, Mark Killam, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard secretary to the board.

Kessler moved to adopt the agenda. Norris seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Kern absent          B. Smith absent 

Kessler yea           J. Smith yea 

Megginson yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Megginson moved to go into Closed Session at 7:26 pm. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting as follows:

Norris moved to approve consent agenda items which consisted of:

• Approved School Activity Accounts Payable

• Approved 20/21 School Calendar

• Approved IHSA 2020/21 Membership

• Approved IESA 2020/21 Membership

• Approved Maternity Leave - Meghan Visintin - August 2020

• Approved Volunteer Assistant High School Track Coach- Jay Weber

• Accepted Resignation of Assistant JH Track Coach - Kip Smith

• Accepted Resignation of Pre-K Teacher - Sara Harkness

• Employed Asst. JH Track Coach - Anthony Krivi

Megginson moved to set Administrators’ salaries with 2.45% raise – Root, Donaldson, Grimm, and Essex. Kessler seconded the motion. The voting as follows:

Norris moved to set Melissa Warwick’s salary with 2.45 raise. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting as follows:
