Rochester Public Library District Board met June 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Meeting called to order: 6:00 PM by President Fred Roese

Trustees present: Treasurer Sarah Deen, Secretary Elaine Honomichl Lewis, President Roese, Trustee Diana Fairchild, Trustee Kathryn Elder, and Trustee Jim Sichlau

Trustee absent: Vice President Jessica Ingold, Director

Library Staff: None

Public Comment: None

Approval of Library Board Meeting Minutes:

The 5/14/20 regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Sichlau with a second by Fairchild to approve the 5/14/20 regular minutes and approved by acclamation.

Treasurer’s Report/Approval of Bills:

The treasurer’s report and bills were reviewed.

-1 month is left of the fiscal year.

-Most budget line items were under budget due to closure of the library.

A motion to approve the treasurer’s report and bills by Fairchild with a second by Elder and approved by Deen, Elder, Roese, Sichlau, Fairchild, Honomichl Lewis.

Unfinished Business: None

Committee Reports:

Personnel Committee: Did not meet.

Finance: Will meet on Tuesday and discuss the working budget.

Joint Use: Did not meet.

Building Committee: Did not meet.

New Business:

-Library board meeting dates for 2020-2021 were reviewed. A motion was made to approve the 2020-2021 Library Board Meeting Dates by Deen with a second by Honomichl Lewis and approved by acclamation.

-Holiday closure schedule for 2020-2021 was reviewed and discussed. A motion was made to approve the 2020-2021 holiday closure dates by Deen with a second by Honomichl Lewis and approved by acclamation.

-Working budget will be further reviewed during a meeting in July; a special meeting to review and confirm the budget will occur. A motion by Fairchild with a second by Elder to review the working budget in July and approved by Roese, Sichlau, Fairchild, Deen, Honomichl Lewis and Elder.

Other Business:

A. The referendum will be further discussed at board meetings this summer to determine direction.

B. Lawn signs, per the Village meeting, will need to be placed appropriately on the lawn of the homeowner and not in the parkway area.

Next Regular Meeting Date: July 9, 2020 6:00 with budget meeting at the beginning followed by regular meeting.

Adjournment: With no additional items to discuss, a motion for adjournment at 6:50 p.m. by Deen with a second by Fairchild and passed by acclamation.
