Riverton Area Fire Protection District responded to 69 calls in 2018 - 33.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Riverton Area included 37 fires - 20 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 15 other fires.

In all, the department saw $772,000 in fire loss - or about $20,865 per fire.

The department also received 32 false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury and one civilian fire-related death. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Riverton Area Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $239,540 in 2018.
