New Berlin-Island Grove Fire Protection District responded to 35 calls in 2018 - 2.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in New Berlin-Island Grove included 32 fires - five structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 19 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

The department also received two false calls.
