Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met Sept. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education: Present: Fred Jessup, Carl Kessler, Brad Smith, John Megginson, Josh Smith, Scott Norris, and Matt Kern. Also present were Darren Root, Nathan Essex, Mark Dudley, Dave Bates, Matt Grimm, Amy Donaldson, and Christy Bailey. Present: Althea Dowson, Sarah Smith, Angela Phillips, Donna Smargiassi, Holly Schinzler, Tahney Fletcher, Tonya Busby, Sandy Jones, Sara Kraus, Angie Ramsey, Kelsie Fairfull, Jodi O’Dell, Erin Saccomano, Tera Kirby, Kim Danner, Greg Smith, Ruby Howard, secretary to the board. Present Via Zoom: Ashley Blevins, Amanda Holland, Anthony Krivi, Autumn Litteken, Barb Newhouse, Bekah Philbrick, Bridget Armstrong, Char Goyke, Cindy Essex, Courtney Murphy, Dana Bertetto, Dawn Wheat, Melissa Warwick, Jeff and Eryn Parga, Jen Marshall, Jennifer Daugherty, Jennifer Workman, Jessica Yard, Jodie Dobson Reese, Erin Bidleman, Jon Barth, Kim Martin, Lauren Spellbrink, Michelle Pacini, Mallory Wise, Melinda Marques, Nathania Laier, Nicole Weaver, Rory Zak, Sandy Parrish, Theresa Pearce, and Tricia Hemberger

Kern moved to adopt the agenda. Kessler seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Presentation and Explanation of FY21 Budget

B. Smith moved to open the FY21 Budget Hearing. Megginson seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Megginson yea

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Jessup asked for discussion / public comment. There was none.

Kern moved to close the FY21 Budget Hearing. Norris seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Megginson yea

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Board came out of Closed Session at 9:00 pm.

Kern moved to renew the farm lease to TT Farms for two years at $370 / acre per year. Megginson seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:
