Village of Greenview Village Board met Feb. 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Patrick Feagans, Liz Soldewedel, Roy Lee, and Sarah Heavner were present. Other village personnel present were Village Employee Joe Reynolds, Village Treasurer and Police Chief, John Holt, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm

Public Participation:

No public participation

Joe Reynolds gave the maintenance report for January. Motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Heavner to approve report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

Chief John Holt gave the police report for January. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Heavner to approve the treasurer report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

The minutes from the January 18th, 2020 board meeting were reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed in record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report- The bills were reviewed by each board member. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.

Old Business

New Business

1. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to pass Ordinance #554 – ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING USE OF VILLAGE STREETS, ALLEYS AND OTHER PROPERTY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A VILLAGE SEWER SYSTEM. All present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Lee to approve an increase to the bridge loan for the sewer system from $460,000 to $625,000. All present, in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

3. A motion was made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee Lee to extend the selling hours for alcohol on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th, to last call by 11:00 pm and out by 12:00 pm. 

4. Discussion had on having bees within Village Limits.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Discussion had on possible increase in water rates.

Trustee Heavner: Nothing

Trustee Lee: Spoke with resident regarding property adjacent to where Sewer plant is going, resident gave a price of $7000 and will be voted on at the next meeting.

Trustee Hofmann: Absent

Trustee Soldwedel: Discussion had on budget committee duties.

Trustee VanCleve: Absent

President: Reminder to committees to have budget items in by February 15th. Discussion on zoning process.

Clerk: Gave status on sewer project, advised that the golf cart permit renewals are getting ready to go out, and gave animal control report for September-December 2020.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
