Village of Greenview Village Board met March 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Patrick Feagans, Norman Hofmann, Jake VanCleve, Roy Lee, and Sarah Heavner were present. Other village personnel present were Village Treasurer, John Holt, Village Employee Trey Castles, Zoning Officer Ken Ratliff, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.

Public Participation:

No public participation

Trey Castles gave the maintenance report for January. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Heavner to approve the maintenance report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

John Holt gave the police report for January. A motion was made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee VanCleve to approve the police report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

Ken Ratliff gave the zoning report for February. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the zoning report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

The minutes from the February 15th, 2021 board meeting were reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed in record.

The minutes from the February 15th, 2021 special meeting were reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee VanCleve to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report- The bills were reviewed by each board member. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.

Old Business

1. Discussion on allowing bees within the Village limits was tabled.

2. Update was given by Trustee Hofmann on employee life insurance.

3. A motion was made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee Fegans to approve purchasing golf cart permit stickers.

New Business

1. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the contract with Ameren for power the new sewer treatment plant.

2. Discussion was had on restructuring committees.

3. Discussion was had on adopting a Village Board Handbook

4. Discussion had on park equipment purchases.

5. Discussion had on grants and a consulting firm.

6. Discussion had on obtaining Village Board e-mails

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Discussion on the water committee and the budget

Trustee Heavner: Nothing

Trustee Lee: Discussion had on education for obtaining sewer licenses for employees. 

Trustee Hofmann: Nothing

Trustee Soldwedel: Absent

Trustee VanCleve: Nothing

Treasurer: Discussion had on if board wanted information on a money market account Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday March 15th, 2021 at 7:00 pm.
