Village of Greenview Village Board met April 5.

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Patrick Feagans, Jake VanCleve, Roy Lee, Norman Hofmann, Liz Soldwedel, and Sarah Heavner were present. Other village personnel present were Village Treasurer, John Holt, Village Employee Trey Castles, Zoning Officer Ken Ratliff, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.
Public Participation:
No public participation
Ken Ratliff gave the zoning report for February. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the zoning report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.
Trey Castles gave the maintenance report for March. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Heavner to approve the maintenance report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.
John Holt gave the police report for March. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee VanCleve to approve the police report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.
The minutes from the March 15th, 2021 board meeting were reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed in record.
Income/Expense/Bill Report- The bills were reviewed by each board member. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.
Old Business
1. Discussion on the Village Board Handbook was had and suggestions for revisions were made.
2. Discussion had on doing a City Wide Clean up in conjunction with the City-Wide garage sales Trustee Lee will get pricing.
3. Discussion had on Dollar General sidewalk they have spoke with the contractor so it should be getting put in soon.
New Business
1. Discussion was had on the appropriations budget.
2. Discussion was had on the qualified immunity for insurance with IML and the police department. Was advised police department was covered within village limits. Will need an authorization that will allow the police department to go outside village limits to assist other emergency agencies. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Heavner to allow the police department to assist other emergency agencies outside of village limits.
Committee Reports:
Trustee Feagans: The well land is being surveyed.
Trustee Heavner: Advised that there was a report of vandalism at the park with a picnic table. Trey advised several tables need replaced. Will be getting with the FFA to see if they would be interested in building some tables and benches for the park if the Village pays for supplies.
Trustee Lee: Absent
Trustee Hofmann: Nothing
Trustee Soldwedel: Nothing
Trustee VanCleve: Nothing
Clerk: Advised that there would be a pre-bid meeting for contractors at Village Hall on Wednesday.
President: Wanted to inform the board that if they had not gone to the COVID Shot Clinic in March put on by the school, that they thought the Illinois National Guard and the Staff at Greenview School District should be commended because they did a fantastic job.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.
At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday April 19th, 2021 at 7:00 pm.
