Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on May. 19.
Glenwood Intermediate School and Glenwood Middle School recently sponsored two teams to take part in the Girls on the Run (GOTR) and Heart & Sole 5k run event held May 14 on the GIS/GMS track. Twice a week for 8 weeks, girls increased their physical activity levels and learned important life skills, as well as had fun and made new friends. This year our teacher/coaches led girls through virtual interactive lessons, running activities and team building, and setting goals for physical and mental improvements.
