Village of Greenview Village Board Met Aug. 2.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Norman Hofmann, Liz Soldwedel, Brandon Wellhausen, and Raymond VanCleve, were present. Other village personnel present were John Holt, Trey Castles, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm

Jack Dunn with Goodenow Insurance gave presentation on Employee Life Insurance.
Trey Castles gave the maintenance report for July. A motion was made by Trustee VanCleve and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the maintenance report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.
John Holt gave the police report for July. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Soldwedel to approve the treasurer report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.
The minutes from the July 19th, 2021, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee VanCleve and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.
Income/Expense/Bill Report- The bills were reviewed by each board member. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.
Old Business
New Business
1. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee VanCleve to approve Ordinance #556 - Vacation of a portion of Enterprise Street. Motion was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.
2. Update was given on the work that was completed on the drains on Palmer Street.
3. Discussion was had on the drain work that needs to be completed across from the Christian Church
4. Trustee VanCleve is looking into replacing some of the worst sidewalks this year.
5. A motion was made by Trustee VanCleve and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to authorize the treasurer to make payments in $5,000 increments from the Water Fund to repay the debt due to the General Fund, so that the Water Fund checkbook balance does not go below $20,000.00.
Committee Reports:
Trustee Feagans: Absent
Trustee Heavner: Absent
Trustee Hofmann: Discussion had on information from IML regarding the damage to the gutter on Village Hall and the roof damage at the maintenance building. Also, he did confirm, there would be no reduction in
premiums for adding body cameras for the police department. Discussion had on a second round of LocalCURES money that will be coming available.
Trustee Soldwedel: Nothing
Trustee VanCleve: Nothing
Trustee Wellhausen: Nothing
Clerk: Advised auditors were here to prepare for the annual audit.
President: Discussion had on the Rescue Plan Act funding that will become available. And will also be attending a Menard County Board Meeting regarding this also.

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday August 16th, 2021, at 7:00 pm.
