Report: Eureka School District spent $9,214 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Eureka Community Unit School District 140 was up 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Woodford County school district spent $8,629 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,214 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,623 to 1,558 students over the same period.

Eureka's spending in 2019-20 was 36.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
