Falling home prices in Atlanta in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Atlanta fell by $10,500 while total sales decreased by 29.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $92,000 - a 10.2% decrease over the $102,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Atlanta in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,913, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
