Report: Armstrong-Ellis School District spent $17,452 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Armstrong-Ellis Community School District 61 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Vermilion County school district spent $16,312 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $17,452 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 77 to 75 students over the same period.

Armstrong-Ellis's spending in 2019-20 was 20.4 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
