Village of Greenview Village Board met May 2.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Patrick Feagans, Brandon Wellhausen, James Booth, Norman Hofmann, and Liz Soldwedel were present. Other village personnel present were John Holt, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.

Public Participation:

No Public Participation

A presentation was given by Village Clerk regarding seminar that she attended in April.

The minutes from the April 18th, 2022, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Wellhausen and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report Each board member reviewed the bills. Discussion was had on the bills. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the payment of all bills with the exception of the Grosboll, Tice, Barr & Courtney bill. It will be held for further explanation.

Old Business

1. Discussion was had on a new storage container policy to be added to the zoning ordinance.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the acceptance of the Hutchinson Engineering contract for the well project. All present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

New Business

1. Discussion was had on the variance procedures for zoning issues.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the payment of John Holt’s remaining vacation pay. All present in favor voted aye, motion passed.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Advised he had met with drillers and engineers regarding the well project. And wanted to verify that any time there was an issue that board members contact the appropriate committee chairperson before contacting the employees.

Trustee Heavner: Absent

Trustee Hofmann: Discussion was had on old cell phones and what the board would like to do with them. Discussion had on getting the Citizen of The Year applications out. Discussion had on recognition of past board members.

Trustee Soldwedel: Will be meeting with the budget committee soon.

Trustee Wellhausen: Nothing

Trustee Booth: He would like to set up a time to tour all Village facilities.

President: Wanted the board to take into consideration that zoning compliance be turned over to the police department for the time being and advised that the part-time police officer can manage those issues. Treasurer: Gave a brief treasurer’s report.

Meeting adjourned at 8:57 pm.

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday May 16th, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
