Village of Greenview Village Board met April 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Sarah Heavner, Patrick Feagans, Brandon Wellhausen, Norman Hofmann, and Liz Soldwedel were present. Other village personnel present were John Holt, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.

Public Participation:

Cassie Delaney with Memorial Health was present and advised of a new Mobile Crisis Response program they are starting.

John Holt gave the treasurer report for March. A motion was made by Trustee Wellhausen and seconded by Trustee Hofmann to approve the treasurer report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

The minutes from the April 4th, 2022, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Heavner and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report Each board member reviewed the bills. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.

Old Business

New Business

1. Discussion had on new phones and purchase of second hot spot for the police department.

2. Discussion had and a motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Heavner to turn sewer bridge loan into 25 year note at 3.95% interest with a monthly payment of $3020.22. Motion roll called. All present voted aye. Motion passed.

3. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Heavner to approve the hiring and benefit package of Alex Thomson as new Police Chief. Motion roll called and all present voted aye. Motion passed.

4. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Hofmann to approve the appointment of James Booth as a new Village Trustee. All present in favor voted aye. President Curry administered the Oath of Office.

5. Discussion was had on the Hutchinson Engineering contract for their services pertaining to the well project.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Discussion was had on recent water study that was completed and water committee will be looking at the water rates again. Also discussion was had on the issues that happened with the wells going down during the previous week.

Trustee Heavner: Advised would not be in attendance at the next meeting.

Trustee Hofmann: Nothing

Trustee Soldwedel: Nothing

Trustee Wellhausen: Nothing

Clerk: Advised that the Village was needing to purchase some new flags, gave cost estimates. Trustees will check with AmVets to see if they will replace. Also advised would be out of the office on Thursday and Friday for the seminar.

Treasurer: Gave update on Motor Fuel Tax information, and advised that the new system with Memorial Health was going to be beneficial.

Meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm.

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday May 2nd, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
