Rep. Tim Butler expresses his gratitude for being endorsed by so many legislators in the area.
In a May 24 Facebook post, Butler announces new endorsements for his campaign to represent the 95th District.
"I am honored to be endorsed by so many current and former legislators from our area, including all five Sangamon County Republicans legislators I've served with during my four terms such as Senator Steve McClure and State Representative Sandy Hamilton,” said Butler.
"To also have the support of those who have paved the way for me because of their previous service--former legislators like Irv Smith, Karen Hasara, Larry Bomke, and Duane Noland--means so much. Thank you to State Representative Avery Bourne and former Rep. Raymond Poe for your kind remarks in our announcement release. I am the only candidate who lives in the @New95th and I truly appreciate all the support and endorsements!” said Butler on Facebook.
Butler announced his intention to run for the 95th District in January. In a Facebook post that went up on Jan. 10, he explained his plans and reasoning.
Butler was also recently endorsed by the Illinois Farm Bureau's ACTIVATOR. "ENDORSEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: State Representative Tim Butler of Springfield is the endorsed candidate for Illinois' 95th State House district. During his time in office, Butler has been a strong supporter of Illinois farmers. Vote Tim Butler on or before Jun. 28!"
