Village of Greenview Village Board met June 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regular scheduled board meeting. President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Patrick Feagans, Brandon Wellhausen, Elizabeth Soldwedel and Norman Hofmann were present. Other village personnel present were Village Treasurer John Holt, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.

Public Participation:

No Public Participation

John Holt gave the treasurer report. A motion was made by Trustee Wellhausen and seconded by Trustee Hofmann to accept the treasurer report. All present in favor voted aye. Report filed into record.

John Holt gave the zoning report. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to accept the zoning report. A discussion was All present in favor voted aye.

The minutes from the June 6th, 2022, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report Each board member reviewed the bills. A motion was made by Trustee Wellhausen and seconded by Trustee Feagans to approve the payment of all bills. Motion was roll called, all present voted aye. Motion passed.

Old Business

1. A motion was mad by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Soldwedel to approve Ordinance #559 Storage Container Ordinance with the correction in section J from “are” to “or”. Motion was roll called all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Wellhausen and seconded by Trustee Feagans to increase water rates effective for July 1st water billing. Letters will be sent out to residents, along with posting on website and social media sites. Motion was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

New Business

1. Discussion was had on rates for community cleanup day. A-Team Disposal $925 p/truck and tons and then $75 p/ton after that. GFL is $2000 p/truck and no Saturday pick up. Republic only offers dumpsters, 6 Ton dumpster $931. Trustee Soldwedel will research a grant.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Discussion on moving forward with filling vacant position. Discussion on pay and full-time and part-time employees. A motion was made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Wellhausen to raise Employee’s pay rate for additional responsibilities to $18 per hour as of 7/1/22. Discussion was had on nuisance violations being under Police Department.

Trustee Heavner: Absent

Trustee Hofmann: Checking into a Village Clean up day in the fall. Also the 4x8 plywood signs for the school are going to get repainted. Wanted to know if Village Employees would take them down and deliver them to the school and once repainted reinistalled.

Trustee Soldwedel: Nothing

Trustee Wellhausen: Received packets for insurance renewals. And police health insurance was approved. Discussion was had on purchasing flags for flag poles. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Feagans to purchase flags up to $500. Motion was roll called, all in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

Trustee Booth: Absent

President: Wanted to remind everyone that there will be a meeting on Tuesday July 5th at 7:00 pm since Monday is a holiday.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
