City of Athens City Council met June 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Alderman Greg Hoffman opened the meeting at 7:00pm and thanked everyone for attending.
All stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Temporary Clerk, Nicole McCormick called roll.
Those in attendance were, Nicole McCormick, and Aldermen: Angela Thompson, Amy Chernowsky, Rachel Lantz, Greg Hoffman, Nathan Armbruster, and Kevin Puma.
Also, in attendance was Treasurer Derrick Fritz.
Motion made by Alderman Lantz, seconded by Alderman Armbruster, to approve the police, treasurers', water, sewer, streets, and office manager's reports. Ayes: Chernowsky, Lantz, Hoffman, Armbruster, Puma and Thompson.
Motion made by Alderman Chernowsky, seconded by Alderman Puma to approve the May 2022 council meeting minutes. All ayes. Motion passed.
Motion made by Alderman Lantz, seconded by Alderman Thompson to approve the payment of May 2022 bills. All ayes. Motion passed.
The library budget was tabled until July’s meeting.
Motion made by Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Chernowsky to approve the Annual Dog Walk on July 23, 2022. All ayes. Motion passed.
Motion made by Alderman Thompson, seconded by Alderman Puma to approve the Girl Scout project for putting up signs around town. All ayes. Motion passed.
Alderman Hoffman asked if anyone had any questions, he thanked everyone for coming and the meeting was adjourned at 7:06pm.
