Logan County Safety Committee met Nov. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Mr. Jenness, Mr. Farmer, Mr. Leesman, Mr. Schaffenacker

Absent: Mr. Sanders, Mrs. Davenport

Guests: Sheriff Landers, Don Peasley, Crystal Bale

Mr. Jenness called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve minutes for October 6, 2022, made by Mr. Schaffenacker, seconded by Mr. Farmer. Motion carries.

• CORONER

Old Business:

1. October Cases- Mr. Peasley told the committee that there 26 deaths, 2 autopsies and 1 cremation for the month of October.

New Business: None.

October Meeting Reports (FY 21/22)

1. Summary of October Expenses- Mr. Peasley told the committee that there were 2 vouchers for the month and explained them to the committee.

Budget Review: None

A motion was made by Mr. Schaffenacker, seconded by Mr. Farmer, to approve the bills for the coroner. Motion carried.

• AMBULANCE1. Vouchers: Ms. Bale presented 1 voucher to the committee.

2. Call Report: Ms. Bale stated that there was a total of 478 calls and YTD is 5198 calls.

3. Vehicle Status Report: No report given.

Old Business: None.

New Business: None.

Budget Review: None.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Leesman, to approve the bills for the LCPA. Motion carried.

• LAW ENFORCEMENTEM-COM Report: None.

Old Business: None.

New Business:

1. Dewberry- Sheriff Landers stated he will have something to bring forward in December for the committee and gave an update to the committee regarding Dewberry. Sheriff Landers gave the committee an update on the 2019 squad that was totaled and that he is still waiting to receive the insurance check to replace the vehicle.

Budget Review: None.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Schaffenacker, to approve the Sheriff’s and EMA bills. Motion carried.

Communications: None.

Public Comments: None.

Executive Session: None.

A motion was made by, seconded by Mr. Farmer seconded by Mr. Leesman, to adjourn the meeting at 6:10pm.

Motion carried.
