Village of Greenview Village Board met April 17

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Greenview Village Board met for a regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday April 17th, 2023. Acting President Feagans called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Pamela Rouse, Taya Smith, Elizabeth Soldwedel, Norman Hofmann and Patrick Feagans were present. Other village personnel present were John Holt, and Village Clerk Monica Brumm.

Public Participation:

No public participation

John Holt gave the treasurer’s report. A motion was made by Trustee Smith and seconded by Trustee Soldwedel to approve the report as presented. All present in favor voted aye. Report filed into record.

John Holt gave the zoning report. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Booth to approve the report as presented. All present in favor voted aye. Report filed into record.

The minutes from the April 3rd, 2023, board meeting was reviewed by each board member. A motion was made by Trustee Rouse and seconded by Trustee Hofmann to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed into record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report Each board member reviewed the bills. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Rouse to approve the payment of all bills. Motion was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

Old Business-

1. A motion was made by Trustee Hofmann and seconded by Trustee Booth to accept the bid for Sennings Carpet Cleaners for $500. Motion roll called all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Booth and seconded by Trustee Smith to approve employee raises foremployees. Motion was roll called all present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

New Business-

1. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Smith to include 1 block of Washington street on the map for oil and chipping. All present in favor voted aye.

2. A motion was made by Trustee Soldwedel and seconded by Trustee Booth to approve the map of the roads to be oiled and chipped. All present in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

No executive session was called.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Nothing

Trustee Hofmann: Received updated city maps. Discussion had on getting information on getting them to put behind plexiglass.

Trustee Soldwedel: Items that were taken to auction were sold. Police committee has done two interviews and still gathering more information.

Trustee Booth: Advised that was contacted by the Central Illinois Tree Service about the remaining trees in the park. Discussion was had and the park committee will contact Central Illinois Tree Service.

Trustee Smith: Nothing

Trustee Rouse: Nothing

Treasurer: Nothing

Clerk: Advised that President Curry authorized a company to come in and collect the flowers from the sweet gum trees. Advised that a seminar is available for all appointed and elected officials in Peoria on 5/13/23. Discussion was had on letter on EPA inspection letter. Also advised some services offered by IRWA that they might be interested in.

Acting President: Advised the board of the weekly employee update that he receives, and he would like to have each board member to receive it.

The meeting adjourned at 8:08 pm.

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday May 1st, 2023, at 7:00 pm.
