State Representative Michael Coffey (IL) | Representative Michael J. Coffey, Jr. (R) 95th District
The President of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, Dr. Bill Moredock, met with a representative to discuss public safety concerns related to the former Bally Vaughn apartment complex situated across the street from the high school. Both parties expressed a mutual understanding of the necessity to enhance safety measures for students and nearby residents.
"We both agree that something needs to be done to ensure the safety of SHG students and neighbors who live nearby," said Dr. Moredock.
"I appreciate your time, Dr. Moredock, for discussing an important issue with me and the dire need of improving safety for students and the community," added the representative.
In related news, Coffey recently participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for Springfield High School.
