City of Petersburg City Council Street Committee met June 10
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Rick Snyder called the City Council to order at 7:08 p.m.
II. PRELIMINARY MATTERS
A. Members present were Mayor Rick Snyder, Aldermen & Chairman Rick Sonnemaker, Mike Allison and Neil Conklin. Also present was City Clerk Ken Ortman and Street Superintendent Brian Whitehurst.
B. Discussion on the Street signs for Monroe Street between 11th St. and 12th St.
1. Chairman Sonnemaker asked Superintendent Whitehurst about flashing light prices.
2. Discussion on the Building Permit applied for by the Elementary School to install a sidewalk on Madison Street behind the school.
3. Discussion on Bus signage for Monroe street for key times of loading and unloading of Buses in front of the Elementary School. A motion made by Alderman Sonnemaker seconded by Alderman Conklin to recommend to the Full Council to install signs on Monroe Street from 11th St. to 12th St. that state "School Bus Access Only 7:30-8:30 A.M., 10:15 A.M-12:45 P.M. and 2:30-3:30 P.M." VOTES: Sonnemaker, yes; Conklin, yes; Allison, yes. Motion carried.
III. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Alderman Allison and seconded by Alderman Sonnemaker to adjourn the meeting. VOTES: Conklin, yes; Allison, yes; Sonnemaker, yes. MOTION CARRIED. Meeting Adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
