The Illinois College men's tennis team secured its first victory of the season, defeating Westminster 7-0 on Sunday at the Bellatti Tennis Complex in Jacksonville, Illinois.

The Blueboys began by sweeping the doubles matches with a combined score of 18-1. Jeff Wernsing and Glenn Conway achieved a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Tejas Zala and Andrus Dupre mirrored that result at No. 2. Grayson Dupre and Titus Ashford completed the sweep with a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Illinois College continued their dominance by winning all six matches. Zala (No. 1) won his match in a tiebreaker, while Wernsing (No. 2), Conway (No. 3), Andrus Dupre (No. 4), Grayson Dupre (No. 5), and Ashford (No. 6) each won in straight sets.

The Blueboys will conclude the fall portion of their season on September 18th with a match against Southwestern Illinois College at 3:00 p.m.
