The Illinois College women's tennis team experienced a setback as their five-match winning streak was halted by Illinois Wesleyan University, resulting in a 5-2 defeat on Tuesday at the Bellatti Tennis Complex.

Illinois Wesleyan secured the doubles point despite a victory from Chloe Plough and Hannah Lueke at No. 3 doubles for Illinois College.

In singles competition, Illinois College earned wins from Maddi Eastin at No. 5 and Sabrina Ingram at No. 6, but these efforts were insufficient to surpass the Titans.

Next, the Lady Blues will commence the Midwest Conference portion of their season on Saturday with matches against Cornell and Grinnell in Iowa.
