The Illinois College women's tennis team achieved a clean sweep in two dual matches on Saturday, defeating both Elmhurst and Concordia Chicago with identical scores of 7-0.
In the first match against Elmhurst, the Lady Blues secured the doubles point with victories from Alyssa Wise and Sophie Muir at No. 1 doubles, and Michelle Maag and Lily Ingram at No. 2 doubles. The team then swept all singles matches with wins from Wise (No. 1), Muir (No. 2), Lily Ingram (No. 3), Madison Eastin (No. 4), and Sabrina Ingram (No. 5). Chloe Plough won by walkover at No. 6.
In their second match against Concordia Chicago, Illinois College again won all three doubles matches with pairs Wise/Muir (No. 1), L. Ingram/Maag (No. 2), and Eastin/Plough (No. 3) emerging victorious.
The Lady Blues completed the day with six singles victories: Wise (No. 1), Maag (No. 2), Muir (No. 3), Eastin (No. 4), S. Ingram (No. 5) and Plough (No. 6).
Next, the Lady Blues will travel to Kirksville, Missouri to face Truman State on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
