Marisa Antonacci has been appointed as the new Cheer Coach for Illinois College, announced today by Samantha Laster, Head Dance Coach & Director of Spirit Teams.
"I'm happy to welcome Marisa to the spirit program at IC," said Laster. "I'm excited for her and the cheer team this season. Her skills and experience will take our cheer team to the next level!"
Antonacci expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am so excited to be a part of the Illinois College family and I cannot wait to watch this program grow!"
With 15 years of experience in cheerleading, Antonacci was a member of the McKendree University cheer squad from 2015-17. She transitioned into coaching immediately after finishing her collegiate career.
She spent eight years on the coaching staff at Allstar Cheerleading, where she led her teams to several titles, including the 2024 Allstar World Championship title.
