The Illinois College athletic department has recognized the academic achievements of its student-athletes for the Spring 2023 semester. A total of 414 student-athletes achieved a combined GPA of 3.13 during this period. Out of the college's 23 sports teams, 13 managed to secure a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Leading the department in academic performance was the women's golf team, which posted a team GPA of 3.66. Other top-performing teams included Cheer with a GPA of 3.49, Women's Soccer at 3.42, Women's Basketball with 3.38, and Men's Soccer achieving a GPA of 3.35.
Additionally, 31 student-athletes earned a perfect GPA of 4.0 for the semester, while another 156 students recorded GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
