The Illinois College women's soccer team achieved a decisive victory against Blackburn College on Tuesday night in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Lady Blues secured a 7-0 win over the Beavers, with Darian Blackburn achieving her first career hat-trick.

The match began with the Lady Blues quickly moving into an offensive position. In the fourth minute, Olivia Ralston executed a cross from a corner kick, which Lauren Sinclair headed into the net to give IC an early 1-0 advantage.

Blackburn added two more goals for IC in the 29th and 40th minutes, both from outside the 18-yard box. This extended IC's lead to 3-0 by halftime.

In the second half, Olivia Ralston scored her third goal of the season in the 47th minute. Blackburn completed her hat-trick in the 72nd minute. The final ten minutes saw additional goals from Kayla Piper and Kayla Serpa, with Serpa marking her first collegiate goal.

Overall, IC outshot Blackburn College 34-5, with 21 shots on target.

The Lady Blues are set to begin Midwest Conference play against Ripon College on Saturday, September 23 at 11:00 AM in Ripon, Wisconsin.
