Illinois College Lady Blues start season strong at Highland Classic

The Illinois College Lady Blues golf team started their season with a strong performance at the Highland Classic, held in Rock Island, Illinois. The team achieved a second-place finish with an overall score of 642.

A highlight of the tournament was the Lady Blues breaking an 18-year-old school record for the lowest team score in a round. They recorded a score of 314 in the second round.

Leading the team was Kate Burr, who secured a fourth-place finish with an individual score of 155. She was followed by Amy Fowler, who tied for seventh place with a score of 158, and Alyvia Burr, who placed 11th with a score of 160.

The women's golf team is set to compete next at the Dan Salisbury Invite hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield on Tuesday at 8:30 AM.
