Illinois College golf teams compete at Midwest Region Classic

The Illinois College men's and women's golf teams recently participated in the Midwest Region Classic held on Sunday and Monday in Lisle, Illinois. The men's team secured a fifth-place finish overall, while the women's team finished ninth in the tournament.

The Blueboys achieved a combined team score of 607 across two rounds. Leading the team was Jarrett James, who scored 146 and placed fifth individually. Tre Wahlig tied for 12th with a score of 149, and Tanner Romine tied for 26th with a score of 153.

On the women's side, the Lady Blues ended the tournament with a total team score of 696. Olivia Quigley led her teammates by tying for 26th place with a score of 171. She was followed closely by Amy Fowler, who tied for 35th place with a score of 174, and Katie Mae Milhiser, who tied for 37th place with a score of 175.

Both teams are preparing to compete next at the Knox Fall Invite scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at noon and Sunday, October 2nd at 9:00 AM.
