The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its end-of-season awards for women's golf, recognizing IC's Kate Burr with a Second-Team All-SLIAC honor. Burr's performance at the SLIAC Women's Golf Championships in Metamora, Illinois, was notable, leading the Lady Blues with an overall score of 243.

Burr's tournament began with a four-over-par 76 in the opening round, which included two birdies. Despite challenging weather conditions on the second day, she managed a score of 88. In the final round, Burr improved by nine strokes to achieve a seven-over-par 79, featuring a birdie on hole 16 and ten pars.

Reflecting on her recognition, Burr stated, "I was surprised to hear my name called for second-team all-conference because I was not sure I stood on the leaderboard. It was a very exciting afternoon to say the least."

Burr completed the championships with two rounds under 80 and secured a 14th-place finish overall. This marks her second consecutive year receiving All-SLIAC honors.

Head Coach Josh Edison expressed his satisfaction with Burr's performance: "I am very happy for Kate and the way she persevered through tough conditions. She drove the ball excellent and her talent really showed this week."

With their season concluded, the Lady Blues are now looking forward to their spring season in 2024.
