Illinois College swim teams perform strongly at Principia College Mid-Season Invite

The Illinois College men's and women's swim teams participated in the Principia College Mid-Season Invite. The Lady Blues secured first place overall among six teams, while the Blueboys achieved a second-place finish.

In the women's events, Tovah Brooks led with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking in at 2:28.15. Marjori Russo also delivered a notable performance by winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.69 and taking second place in the 100-yard freestyle at 57.61.

For the men's team, Cooper Meyer excelled in 1-meter diving with a score of 256.10 to claim first place. Nathen Trachta won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:08.29 and finished second in the 100-yard butterfly at 55.13. Xaiver Applegate took first place in the 400-yard IM, completing it in 5:05.67.

Both teams are scheduled to host the IC Invite Quad Meet on Saturday, December 10th at home.
