Illinois College track teams perform well at Millikin University Invite

The Illinois College men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Millikin University Invite in Decatur, Illinois, over the weekend. The men's team secured fourth place overall, while the women's team finished fifth.

Sydney Kuper led the Lady Blues by winning the discus throw with a mark of 34.67 meters. She also achieved fourth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.50 meters. Kristina Hilmes was another notable performer, finishing second in both the 100-meter hurdles (16.28 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:11.95).

For the Blueboys, Xander Moushon stood out by placing third in the hammer throw with a mark of 41.93 meters. Deon Rodgers also had a strong performance, finishing third in the shot put (12.61 meters), and securing fourth place in both the hammer throw (39.05 meters) and discus (39.96 meters).

Both teams are set to compete again at their home meet on Friday, April 7th, starting at 11:00 AM.
