The Illinois College men's and women's swim teams participated in a competition at Monmouth College over the weekend. The women's team secured second place with a total score of 101, while the men's team finished third, earning a score of 75.
Nathen Trachta led the men's team with notable performances, securing second place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.62 seconds and third place in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 54.74 seconds.
On the women's side, Taylor Ashbaugh achieved first place in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:13.17. Additional top performers included Jena Sellers, who placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.33 seconds, and Saydey Shubert, who came third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:58.31.
Both teams are set to compete next at the Beloit College Quad Meet on Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 PM.
