Illinois College's Albert Nimako has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week, according to an announcement by the league. Nimako played a key role for the Blueboys in their recent match against Beloit, contributing two goals and two assists in a 5-1 victory. This win secured Illinois College its first MWC championship in 33 years. It marks the second time this season that Nimako has received this conference honor.
The Blueboys are set to host the MWC Men's Soccer Championships at England Stadium on Friday and Saturday. The tournament will begin with Lake Forest facing Cornell on Friday at 11:00 a.m., followed by Illinois College taking on Grinnell at 2:00 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
