The men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Aurora Invite on Saturday in Geneva, Illinois. The Blueboys secured 12th place out of 15 teams, while the women's team had three athletes competing in the 6K race.
Devin Boggs led the men's team with a 28th place finish, completing the 8K race in 27:20.9. Elgin Scherff followed in 71st place with a time of 28:29.8, and Will Detmer finished 77th at 28:38.1.
On the women's side, Kairy Mercado-Ramos was the top performer with a time of 28:55.7. Claire Peters finished shortly after at 29:00.4, and Ashley Drake completed her run in 31:26.9.
Both teams are set to compete again on Friday, October 14th at the Greenville Classic hosted by Greenville University.
