The Illinois College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Greenville University Invitational in Greenville, Illinois. The men's team, known as the Blueboys, secured sixth place among 11 teams with a total score of 159.
In the women's race, Zoey Lewis led the Lady Blues by finishing 18th in the 5K event with a time of 20:55.74. She was followed by teammates Elizabeth Ruvalcaba at 21:12.46 and Ashley Drake at 24:41.36.
Elgin Scherff led the Blueboys with an 18th place finish in the 8K race, clocking a time of 27:44.40. Devin Boggs finished next for the team at 28:39.51, followed by Will Detmer at 29:30.39.
Both teams are preparing to compete in the Midwest Conference Championship hosted by Ripon College on Saturday, October 30th at 11:00 AM.
