Illinois College's Dylan Doss achieved a notable milestone at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Competing in the men's long jump, Doss secured a 10th place finish among 22 competitors with a leap of 7.12 meters (23 feet, 4.5 inches). This performance earned him his first career second-team All-American honor.

Doss made his mark on his final attempt, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the finals by just one spot. Among the competitors, he was one of only four freshmen to qualify and was the third-best finisher among them.

His journey to the championships included setting a personal best with a jump of 7.29 meters (23 feet, 11 inches) at the 2024 Midwest Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he placed second. This achievement ranks as the second-best in Illinois College's outdoor track and field history, following school-record holder D.J. Jackson.
