Two individual victories, a relay win, and 11 personal records marked the day for the Illinois College Men's Track and Field team at the Roger Haynes Invitational on Saturday in Monmouth, Illinois.
Dylan Doss achieved a personal record (PR) by winning the 200 meters with a time of 22.98 seconds. He also secured a victory in the long jump with a leap of 6.79 meters.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Adam Hernandez and Jackson Lee finished first and second with times of 8.76 and 8.83 seconds, respectively. Lee had earlier set a PR in the preliminaries by clocking an 8.53.
The team comprising Hernandez, Carter Wasson, Jamie Hendrix, and DJ Williams won the 4x400 relay event with a time of 3:31.61.
Will Detmer secured third place in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:58.65, while Gabe Roberts took fourth place in the mile with a time of 5:04.82.
Devin Boggs finished second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:23.52, closely followed by Nick Hannig who recorded a PR at 16:25.99 to take third place.
Deon Rodgers set a PR in shot put with a throw of 13.72 meters to finish fourth; Xander Moushon also achieved PRs with throws of both shot put (13.13 meters) and weight throw (16 meters).
Carter Wasson recorded another PR by finishing second in the 60-meters sprint at a time of 6.98 seconds while Williams came third in the 400 meters clocking another PR at 51.83 seconds. Jaden Saunders added to his team's success by finishing second in long jump with a leap measuring at 6.32 meters.
Illinois College will return home on Friday to host the IC Hilltop Classic starting at meet time scheduled for five o'clock p.m.
